    Adult Obesity Prevalence Map (2023)

    Obesity has continued to be a major epidemic in the United States for both children and adults. With every single U.S. state having an obesity prevalence higher than 20% - that's more than 1 in 5 adults - there is no better time to make a change than now.  Of the United States' geographical areas, the Midwest (36.0%) and South (34.7%) have the highest prevalence of obesity, followed by the West (29.1%) and the Northeast (28.6%).     "- DC and Colorado had an obesity prevalence between 20% and less than 25%.
    - Seven states had an obesity prevalence between 25% and less than 30%.
    - 17 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands had an obesity prevalence between 30% and less than 35%.

    Your meds might make you heat-sensitive

    Did you know that hot weather doesn’t mix with some medications? If you take antidepressants, stimulants (for, say, ADHD), diuretics (for high blood pressure), anticholinergics, beta blockers (for heart issues), you might find some unexpected side effects during the summer.
