    Adult Obesity Prevalence Map (2023)

    Obesity has continued to be a major epidemic in the United States for both children and adults. With every single U.S. state having an obesity prevalence higher than 20% - that's more than 1 in 5 adults - there is no better time to make a change than now.  Of the United States' geographical areas, the Midwest (36.0%) and South (34.7%) have the highest prevalence of obesity, followed by the West (29.1%) and the Northeast (28.6%).     "- DC and Colorado had an obesity prevalence between 20% and less than 25%.
