Does My Pet Need A Prescription For Compounded Medication?
Yes. All compounded veterinary medications require a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian based on a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). Your veterinarian can send the prescription to your Revelation pharmacy electronically, by fax, or by phone.
What is the difference between 503A compounding and 503B products?
503A pharmacies compound patient-specific prescriptions based on an individual prescription from a licensed prescriber. Each preparation is made for a specific patient. 503B outsourcing facilities manufacture larger batches of compounded products without patient-specific prescriptions, under FDA oversight. Revelation Animal Health provides both: our anchor pharmacies handle 503A patient-specific compounding, and select 503B products from Epicur Pharma and Wedgewood Connect are available through our network for patient prescriptions.
Can my clinic order commercial medications and supplies through Revelation?
Yes. Through Revelation Wholesale, our division provides veterinary clinics, hospitals, and zoological institutions with commercial veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, and clinical equipment via a 24/7 online ordering portal.
