Compounded for Animal Health: What to Know

Yes. All compounded veterinary medications require a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian based on a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). Your veterinarian can send the prescription to your Revelation pharmacy electronically, by fax, or by phone.

503A pharmacies compound patient-specific prescriptions based on an individual prescription from a licensed prescriber. Each preparation is made for a specific patient. 503B outsourcing facilities manufacture larger batches of compounded products without patient-specific prescriptions, under FDA oversight. Revelation Animal Health provides both: our anchor pharmacies handle 503A patient-specific compounding, and select 503B products from Epicur Pharma and Wedgewood Connect are available through our network for patient prescriptions.

Yes. Through Revelation Wholesale, our division provides veterinary clinics, hospitals, and zoological institutions with commercial veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, and clinical equipment via a 24/7 online ordering portal. This allows your practice to coordinate compounded preparations, 503B products, and standard commercial inventory under a single relationship.

Visit our Become a Provider page to get started. Our dedicated animal health sales team will establish your practice credentials, outline your state-specific pharmacy routing, and provide training on our electronic prescribing and fax pathways. You can also reach us directly at sales@revelationpharma.com.
